Setup Privileges to Add Thematic to the Library

This procedure is for Administrators ONLY!

  1. Close the Promis.e application if is open.
  2. Locate the LCMKeyGen.exe file found in this folder: \OpenUtilities Substation CONNECT Edition\Substation\Assemblies\C:\Program Files\Bentley\Promise CONNECT Edition\Promise\Assemblies
  3. Double click the file to launch the utility.
  4. Enter the name of the user you want to grant admin privileges to. Select the Current button to fill in the current Windows login name.
  5. Select the Copy button to copy the generated key to the clipboard.
  6. Open the following file: C:\Users\<current_user>\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\Promise\LcmUserSettings.xml
  7. Paste the key into the file in the <InternalPropertyOne> parameter as shown below: <LcmUserSettings xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">

    <CustomPropertiesDialogOpen>false</CustomPropertiesDialogOpen>

    <AutomaticValuesUpdates>false</AutomaticValuesUpdates>

  8. Launch Promis.e and open the Thematic Manager.
